As the event approaches, The Oroville Area Chamber of Commerce will have a complete list of events at www.orovillechamber.net.  Click on Event Calendar, then click on each event to get all the details.

Feather Fiesta Days is a week long celebration of the history of Oroville.  It kicks off  with Bidwell Bar Day where you can take a step back in history with docents in period clothing demonstrating crafts, gold panning, and more.  Also to start the festivities is The Native Sons of the Golden West's Annual Beer Fest where you can sample some of the finest beers and ales brewed.

Some other activities throughout the week include: open house and free tours of museums, band concert, Ishi Gathering & seminars, fashion show, home tour & tea, car and bikes shows, and more.

 

 The celebration culminates in a flurry of events on Saturday, May 7th:

  • Annual Eagles Pancake Breakfast, 6am-10am at the Eagles Hall.  All you can eat pancakes and more $5 per person.

  • Gold Rush Car Show, 7am-4pm Hundreds of classic cars, trucks and motorcycles throughout downtown.

  • St.Thomas Spring Fest, 7:30am-5pm, at St Thomas School.  Live bands, food, games, giant water slide, water tag, bounce house, etc.

  • Gold Rush Activity Lot, 9am-4pm. Food, games, displays, products, information and fun for the family, including the Jack Splash Club.

  • Annual Craft Faire at Sank Park, 9am-4pm.  Free and fun for the whole family.  Food also available.

  • Oroville Exchange Club Grand Parade, 10am, From at Fifth Ave to Montgomery Street.

  • Art in the Park for Kids, 10am-3pm at Soroptomist Park with free art booths and demonstrations.

  • Artists of Rivertown Art Booths, 10am-3pm, in Bicentennial Park.  Original art, prints & demonstrations.

  • Motorcycle Bike Show, 11am at Western Pacific Brewing & Dining presented by Gold Country Casino with music & brews.

  • Chili Cook Off, Noon-3pm Parking lot on Montgomery Street at Lincoln. Tasty contest between Oroville fire stations, police, and other public safety departments.

  • Cruise of Champions, 4:30pm.  Gold Rush Car Show entrants parade through downtown to Feather Falls Casino.

  • Ishi World Film Festival, 6:30pm at the State Theatre.

  • Sunday May 8th - El Medio Fireman's Annual Mothers Day Ham Dinner, noon-5pm at El Medio Fire Dept.
